Sustainable Innovation in Distribution Centre
GOLDBECK Nederland B.V. has realized a sustainable XXL distribution centre for Solidiam in Herkenbosch, which meets the requirements for BREEAM Excellent. For this project, prefabricated components from GOLDBECK's own factories were used, ensuring high construction speed and consistent quality. The location required thorough preparation, including soil remediation and various ecological measures.
Thanks to efficient BIM design and good collaboration between all parties involved, the execution proceeded smoothly and structured. The distribution centre is fully aligned with sustainability: the roof is equipped with solar panels, the site features multiple charging points, and wadis have been constructed to collect rainwater. To promote biodiversity, bat cellars, insect hotels, and a 500-meter-long green wall have been created. The building also boasts a high-quality, representative appearance thanks to the combination of anthracite-coloured plinths and champagne-coloured façade panels. Additionally, an LCA and EPD certificate was obtained for the HWA.
